Job summary

AfterQuery is hiring network engineers as contractors to author and grade routing, switching, and troubleshooting scenarios for frontier AI labs. You will author realistic network scenarios from design questions through outage troubleshooting and write reference answers with the design and troubleshooting reasoning behind each decision.

You will also grade model outputs for protocol accuracy and operational soundness, and flag configurations that could plausibly pass but would break production

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional network engineering or network administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and firewalls in production environments.
• Depth in protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Clear written English for documenting network design and troubleshooting reasoning.
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Write reference answers with the design and troubleshooting reasoning behind each decision.
