Job summary

GuideIT is seeking a Network Engineer to join our US-based team focusing on network infrastructure, system administration, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will handle routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and QoS.

Qualifications

• Expertise in routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto).
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, VPN technologies and related protocols.
• Proficiency in Windows Server management; AD, MFA, and related systems.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) & messaging integration.
• ITIL knowledge and PCI compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage network support and related tasks as directed by the client's lead.
• Provide services for network setup, documentation, support, and new site installations.
• Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades with patches and security configs.
• Monitor network performance to ensure availability and reliability.
• Conduct capacity planning and trend analysis.
• Adhere to change management policies and approvals.
• Collaborate with security team to implement tools and policies.
• Provide technical support within strict SLA windows.
