Job summary

Business Information Group, Inc. (BIG) seeks a Development Consultant to design, develop, and maintain software and database systems that meet client needs. You will define scope, gather requirements, and deliver scalable data solutions while coding, testing, and debugging across platforms.

You’ll work in a collaborative team, supporting existing applications, integrating new technologies, and applying best practices to improve performance and user experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of database/SQL development and related experience.
• 3–5 years of experience building data-driven solutions using SQL, including procedures, triggers, views, and ad-hoc queries.
• Intermediate MS SQL Server and T-SQL knowledge.
• Experience with SAP Crystal Reports, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and Microsoft BI Services preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Portfolio of developed solutions as an Application or Database Developer or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and prepare detailed specifications for solutions.
• Design, code, test, and debug SQL and database solutions.
• Work across all project phases to deliver high-quality results.
• Interact with clients and colleagues to confirm business processes.
• Develop front-end and back-end solutions for web, mobile, or desktop apps.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and perform testing.
