Job summary

Business Information Group, Inc. is seeking a Development Consultant to design, develop, and maintain software applications and databases, with a primary focus on advanced Microsoft SQL Server development and Vista by Trimble ERP environments, including reporting, integrations, and optimization.

You will work in a collaborative team to gather requirements, implement data workflows, and troubleshoot performance issues across web, mobile, and Windows platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on SQL development experience in Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL knowledge including stored procedures, triggers, views, functions, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Vista by Trimble ERP and related reporting/integrations.
• Experience in SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control.
• Familiarity with front-end/back-end technologies and cloud services.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and prepare specifications for development.
• Design, code, test, debug, and optimize complex SQL solutions.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot SQL performance issues.
• Support data workflows within Vista by Trimble ERP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and conduct testing.
