Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a .NET Developer for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project for VA data migration and syndication. The engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain secure C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL, REST APIs, and InterSystems IRIS while advancing interoperability and modernization efforts.

The role operates within a remote, Agile team, coordinating with VA stakeholders, EHRM-IO architects, and database experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree; 5+ years software development experience.
• Strong hands-on C#, .NET Core/Framework, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational DB design with SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL.
• Experience REST/SOAP web services, modern JS frameworks, and Agile methods.
• Familiarity with federal security, PHI/PII protection, and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain secure apps using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API and front-end JS frameworks.
• Develop data integration interfaces with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and InterSystems IRIS/HealthShare.
• Collaborate with architects and teams to define requirements and implement solutions for interoperability and data migration.
• Conduct debugging, testing, and performance tuning; support deployment and monitoring in IIS and other environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
