Job summary

Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) seeks an Application Developer to contribute to a multiyear modernization initiative, including the Azure‑hosted MyPAS 3.0 platform and integration with MyTRS and MyERS.

The role supports a remote work arrangement with potential on-site meetings, requiring 5–7 years of development experience and strong skills in C#/.NET, Web APIs, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Git. A CS or MIS degree (3–5 years) is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of application development experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET development.
• Hands‑on experience developing Web APIs / REST APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Angular 16 or later.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git and source-control practices.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile.
• Knowledge of business process analysis and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain application components that meet functional and technical requirements.
• Perform all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and PR submissions.
• Develop APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
• Translate technical specifications into production-ready software.
• Develop and maintain clear, actionable user stories and support a prioritized backlog.
• Apply secure coding practices and modern frameworks.
• Work within Agile SDLC methodologies.
• Collaborate with TRS staff, business analysts, testers, and project managers.
• Work with existing legacy systems and understand their architecture and integration points.
• Apply knowledge of TRS business rules for Pension Software System.
• Manage multiple development tasks and timelines.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deliver high-quality code and minimize defects.
