Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental science, natural or cultural resources, public policy, geography, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible environmental planning experience, including direct NEPA work.
• Experience preparing or contributing to EAs, EISs, CATEX docs, FONSIs, RODs, and supporting studies.
• Experience supporting U.S. federal agencies, federal installations, or federally managed environments is required.
• Familiarity with NEPA regulations, procedures, guidance, and documentation practices.
• Ability to analyze and document environmental information, methods, and mitigation measures.

Responsibilities

• Support NEPA documentation and reviews for proposed federal actions, including EAs, EISs, CATEXs, and related documents.
• Assist federal customers and project managers with NEPA strategies, schedules, scopes, and data needs.
• Prepare and revise purpose and need statements, action descriptions, alternatives analyses, and affected-environment sections.
• Coordinate with specialists to integrate analyses on air, water, wetlands, biological, cultural, land-use, noise, and other resources.
• Draft notices, scoping materials, agency correspondence, and findings of no significant impact.
