Job summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking an experienced environmental planning professional in the United States with strong NEPA expertise to support federal actions and environmental documentation.

You will collaborate with federal customers, engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to deliver rigorous NEPA analyses, public involvement, and informed decision making while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental science, natural or cultural resources, public policy, geography, engineering, or related discipline.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible environmental planning experience including NEPA projects.
• Experience preparing or contributing to EAs, EISs, CATEX documentation, FONSIs, RODs, and supporting studies.
• Experience supporting U.S. federal agencies, military departments, federal installations, infrastructure programs, or federally managed environments.
• Working knowledge of NEPA and experience applying federal NEPA regulations and practices.
• Ability to research, analyze, synthesize, and document environmental information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support NEPA documentation for EAs, EISs, CATEX, FONSIs, and RODs.
• Assist in developing NEPA strategies, schedules, scopes, outlines, and data needs.
• Prepare purpose-and-need statements, alternatives analyses, and environmental consequences sections.
• Coordinate with technical specialists on resources like air, water, wetlands, biology, culture, and noise.
• Draft notices, scoping materials, public meeting content, and responses to comments.
• Organize workshops, public meetings, and stakeholder coordination.
