Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental planning, environmental science, public policy, geography, or related discipline.
• Five or more years of environmental planning experience including NEPA work.
• Experience preparing environmental assessments, EIS, CE documentation, or records of decision.
• Familiarity with NEPA regulations, stakeholder engagement, and public involvement.

Responsibilities

• Support NEPA reviews for proposed federal actions including EA, EIS, and documentation.
• Assist in developing NEPA strategies, schedules, scopes, data needs, and compliance-tracking tools.
• Prepare purpose and need statements, proposed action descriptions, and alternatives analyses.
• Coordinate analyses addressing air quality, water resources, wetlands, and cultural resources.
• Draft agency correspondence, findings of no significant impact, and administrative records.
• Organize workshops, public meetings, and stakeholder coordination activities.
• Review documents for clarity, technical support, and traceability.
• Maintain trackers for comments, commitments, schedules, and risks.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities with federal program staff and regulators.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support team integration of analyses.
• Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and client presentations.
