Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced Medical Transportation Supervisor to oversee Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for California’s Medi-Cal program. You will lead a team coordinating transportation for beneficiaries traveling to doctor visits, prescriptions, and other covered services.

You will ensure timely processing of transportation requests in accordance with DHCS requirements and Gainwell service standards, while developing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; business management or related field preferred.
6+ years in customer service, healthcare operations, transportation services, or related fields, including 2+ years in leadership.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily NMT and NEMT operations and team performance, ensuring policy and SLAs are met.
Resolve complex inquiries and escalations with timely communication to stakeholders.
Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of the team.
Build relationships with beneficiaries, providers, and clients to improve experiences.
Partner with leadership to identify trends, improve workflows, and address escalations.
Monitor performance and service quality to support compliance and reduce risk.
