Job summary

America West is seeking an NEMT Driver in California to transport wheelchair or stretcher patients using a fully equipped vehicle. You will operate independently or with a teammate, ensuring safe transport from home to service location and back.

The role requires a valid state driver’s license, 3 years of professional driving experience, a clean driving record, and ability to pass drug testing and health screening. Fluency in English and ability to use apps are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience is required.
• Ability to pass drug test and health screening including TB testing.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive to various locations and use transportation apps.

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle.
• Transport patients safely from home to service location and back.
• Use company transportation software to manage trips.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Assume on-call responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with leadership.
