Job summary

Silver Lining Transports is a non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company with over 40 years of service. BCE is seeking full-time drivers to transport clients to medical appointments and other engagements, including wheelchair or gurney transportation when needed.

Ideal candidates possess a valid California driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass required tests and training. Training will be provided for those without prior NEMT experience.

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Ability to pass alcohol & drug tests.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical.
• Positive attitude, good communication, empathy and politeness.
• Past NEMT driver experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to medical appointments in safe, efficient vehicles.
• Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicle before shift and report defects.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.
• Complete trip documentation, mainly via phone applications.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
• Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation.
• Communicate with Dispatch.
• Follow safety and COVID protocols.
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations.

Silver Lining Transports is a non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company that has been proudly serving for over 40 years. BCE is looking forfull-time drivers to transport clients to and from medical appointments and other engagements. Many of our clients are disabled and may need to be transported by wheelchair or gurney.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport patients to various locations in our medical transport vehicles in a safe efficient and timely manner.
• Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles before shift by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and steering to ensure vehicle can be operated safely. Notify supervisor of mechanical defects or needed repairs.
• Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.
• Complete trip documentation (mainly via phone applications).
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
• Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation
• Communicate with Dispatch.
• Follow safety and COVID protocols
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations
