Job summary

Nightingale College is seeking an Assistant Professor I, NCLEX to coach PN, ASN, and BSN learners through NCLEX preparation in a fully remote capacity. You will identify knowledge gaps, build personalized plans, and guide learners from start to NCLEX success.

Minimum qualifications include an MSN and a commitment to serving across all three academic semesters. A Doctorate is preferred and experience mentoring nursing students online is highly valued.

Qualifications

• MSN is required.
• Commitment to serve across all three academic semesters each calendar year.
• Doctorate degree preferred.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting students in nursing education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and prepare assigned learners to achieve NCLEX success through meaningful interactions, consistent communication, and customized learning plans.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain open communication throughout the coaching process, including grading and attendance tracking for assigned activities.
• Develop, outline, and facilitate scheduled study sessions and 1:1 coaching appointments.
• Complete initial and final evaluations for assigned learners and graduates, and make recommendations for transcript clearance.
• Attend NCLEX faculty meetings, participate in committees, and contribute to shared decision‑making and faculty activities as required.
• Participate in the implementation of functional projects as they arise.
• Maintain certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing standards.
