Job summary

Type3 Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to develop analytical products for internal and external stakeholders, working with leadership, customers, SMEs, and software engineers to inform decisions at the highest levels of Naval Aviation.

The role covers the analytics lifecycle from data discovery to visualization, while maintaining data pipelines and reporting workflows that support our products. Remote work within the U.S. is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in analytics, data science, engineering, math, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in data analysis, BI, or operations analysis.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to explore unfamiliar schemas.
• Experience joining data across multiple large relational tables.
• Strong understanding of relational data concepts (grain, cardinality, relationships).
• Ability to build reusable SQL queries/views and troubleshoot inefficient queries.
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI with solid data visualization judgment.
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables).
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar datasets and identify patterns.
• Attention to detail and clear communication across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical products for Fleet stakeholders and commanders.
• Translate operational questions into analytical solutions with appropriate metrics and visuals.
• Analyze aviation maintenance, supply, logistics, and readiness data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Investigate unexpected results to determine data-quality or system issues.
• Query and analyze large relational datasets; develop reusable SQL queries and data-prep processes.
• Automate recurring SQL, data-prep, and reporting workflows.
• Identify repetitive requests and convert them into reusable dashboards/reports.
• Collaborate with product/program leads and aviation SMEs to improve analytics.
