Job summary

Blu Omega LLC is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain native iOS and Android apps in a remote setup for a VA program. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality mobile experiences and collaborating across SDLC teams.

Required 5+ years of native mobile development experience, proficiency in Swift/Kotlin ecosystems, and strong CI/CD and agile practices. DOE, VA Public Trust eligibility preferred. Compensation reflects a senior, mission-driven developer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing native mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Coroutines.
• Experience managing application dependencies using Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, Gradle, Kotlin DSL, or similar tools.
• Experience with SQLite and structured data formats within mobile applications.
• Experience integrating third‑party SDKs (authentication, analytics, crash reporting, location services, push notifications).
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nexus, or similar version control platforms.
• Familiarity with mobile release management, app review processes, and deployment workflows.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
• Experience in Agile Scrum environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Build responsive, accessible, high-performing mobile interfaces using SwiftUI, UIKit, Jetpack Compose, and Android SDK.
• Manage dependencies with Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, Gradle, Kotlin DSL, and version catalogs.
• Integrate mobile apps with enterprise APIs, backend services, and embedded databases.
• Develop Python scripts to support automation, data processing, and workflows.
• Integrate third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, authentication, and notifications.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, QA, and backend developers across SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and modernization.
• Support deployment, release management, and app store submission processes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and version control practices.
