Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics activities on a national scale, collaborating with Benefits teams to deliver data-driven insights for underwriting, renewals, and client decisions.

The role emphasizes quantitative analysis, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration, with a remote-first policy and occasional on-site needs in alignment with branch requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Data Analytics & Interpretation: Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision-making.
• Underwriting Support: Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations to support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
• Client Consulting: Deliver data-driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
• Sales Support: Provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
• Reporting & Presentation Development: Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly.
• Analytics Process Management: Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
• Technology Optimization: Utilize analytics tools to enhance client outcomes.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify opportunities.
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities.
• Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide analytical guidance and support team development.
