Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C Carrier underwriting experience is required; National Accounts loss-sensitive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze information on risks' operations and key exposures/controls.
• Identify and analyze loss trends and understanding sources of loss information.
• Develop mastery of loss rating concepts for each line and analyze relationships with external factors.
• Develop mastery of rating plans and variable options and pricing decisions.
• Follow underwriting and pricing guidelines and obtain management approval if warranted.
• Develop mastery of coverage forms and respond to account/broker requests.
• Maintain positive relationships with Field Team and communicate decisions effectively.
• Identify opportunities to expand reach and profitability of The Hartford's National Accounts business.
• Collaborate with field team in new business/renewal presentations with accounts/brokers.
• Identify areas for improvement in tools and projects to support growth.
