Connections Education LLC invites applications for an Academic Interventionist/Specialist serving Great Lakes Learning Academy in Michigan. The role supports MTSS/RTI, coordinating push-in and pull-out instruction and aligning with district/state guidelines. Telework-ready with occasional in-office work in East Lansing.

The position emphasizes intensive Tier 3 interventions, collaboration with special education teams, and data-driven progress monitoring to raise student outcomes.

Formación

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification in the required subject matter and grade band.
• Minimum 5 years full-time teaching experience in the required subject matter and grade band.
• Michigan Residency required.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Travel and attendance at in-person events, including State Testing, throughout the school year.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize performance, survey and observation data to identify students needing support and plan interventions.
• Facilitate the Student Support Team (SST) process with principals, staff, parents and instructional team.
• Develop and use MTSS tools (Tier 2 planning forms, SST forms, FBAs, behavior plans) effectively.
• Gather and organize universal assessment tools and develop progress monitoring assessments.
• Design systems to share MTSS best practices across staff.
• Implement and track Tier 3 support for identified students and refine strategies.
• Coordinate with Special Education Directors/Managers for eligibility processes.
• Schedule and conduct RTI meetings in a virtual environment.
• Plan and implement RTI professional development opportunities.
• Maintain online RTI resources and forms.
• Lead data-driven conferences with teachers to inform instruction.
• Assist in school improvement plan preparation for struggling learners.
• Assist with IDEA and Section 504 activities under Child Find requirements.
• Prepare federal, state, and district reports on interventions and compliance.
• Promote safe, respectful classroom environments and enforce rules.
• Use varied instructional techniques and assessments to achieve goals.
• Monitor and report student progress regularly.
