Job summary

SHI International is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our MSP team in a US-remote role. The ideal candidate will implement, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft infrastructure services across multiple customer environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with on-prem and hybrid environments, PowerShell scripting, and collaboration with networking and security teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience as Systems Engineer, Windows Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role within an MSP or enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server versions, installation, configuration, patching, security, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, trusts, replication, authentication, and identity troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and support Windows Server environments across multiple MSP customers.
• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Microsoft infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, file/print).
• Support hybrid identity solutions integrating on-premises AD with Entra ID and synchronization technologies.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft server applications and dependencies.
• Participate in server builds, migrations, upgrades, and data center modernization.
• Troubleshoot OS, authentication, application, virtualization, storage, and backup issues; escalate as needed.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for admin tasks and reporting.
• Prepare build documents, procedures, configuration records, and knowledge articles; support transition to operations.
• Collaborate with networking, security, cloud, and application teams; participate in on-call rotation.
