Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to serve as the external scientific expert for Medical Affairs in endocrinology, educating healthcare providers about disease states and the Ascendis endocrinology portfolio.

The role is remote in the United States, reporting to the Director, Field Medical Team, and requires 5+ years of pharma MSL experience, strong scientific communication skills, and the ability to travel 50–75% to engage KOLs and healthcare networks.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical MSL experience.
• Pediatric endocrinology or rare disease experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in virtual and live settings.
• Willing to travel 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as field-based medical representation of Medical Affairs.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and organizations in endocrinology.
• Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with MOSLs and cross-functional teams to support regional goals.
• Document activities in the CRM and maintain compliance with policies.
