Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. is seeking a Director of Medical Science Liaisons to lead a regional or national MSL team in the United States, reporting to the Head of US Field Medical Affairs.

You will supervise 6-10 MSLs, recruit, develop, and manage performance, and align field activities with USMAO oncology objectives. The role requires an advanced medical or scientific degree, 7+ years in Medical Affairs with 4+ years in Field Medical, and Oncology-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in clinical/scientific discipline (MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP).
• Experience in Medical Affairs with leadership responsibilities.
• Oncology therapeutic area experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, direction, guidance, and support to a team of 6-10 MSLs in an assigned region or nationally.
• Develop and implement strategic field plans, budgets, metrics, and ensure execution.
• Ensure MSL proficiency and subject matter expertise across molecules and disease states.
• Mentor, coach, and develop MSL talent and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial) and ensure compliant field activities.
