Job summary

Takeda is seeking an MSL Director to lead a regional/national team within US Medical Affairs Oncology. You will guide field strategy, supervise 6-10 MSLs, and partner with Scientific Directors to deliver clinical data and payer value messaging.

You will drive talent development, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration while managing budgets and field plans. This remote role requires oncology expertise and extensive MSL leadership experience.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in clinical/scientific discipline (MD/PhD/PharmD/DNP).
Minimum of 7 years Medical Affairs experience, with 4+ years Field Medical experience.
Experience in Heme/Oncology therapeutic area.
Oncology Experience is required.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, direction, and support to a team of 6-10 MSLs in an assigned region/national within the US.
Recruit, hire, develop and retain MSL talent.
Provide leadership to MSLs to educate and support HCPs and Payers with clinical data showing value of Takeda products.
Develop strategic/tactical plans, budgets, goals and metrics; cascade and implement.
Support professional development of MSLs and foster teamwork across USMAO.
Oversee MSL field training, evaluation, motivation, and performance enhancement.
Ensure MSL proficiency and subject matter expertise; maintain disease state knowledge.
Lead Territory Management Plan development and execution and cross-functional collaboration.
