Financial Statement Services, Inc. is seeking a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator to join the FSSI East Development team. This remote role supports multiple states with hybrid/onsite options in RI/FL and requires hands-on DBA expertise across SQL Server environments.

The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize database solutions, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to support production systems and CI/CD deployments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 2–4 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments preferred.
• DP-300 or an equivalent Microsoft data-platform certification strongly preferred.
• Additional current Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, security, or data-platform certifications are preferred.
• Relevant AWS, CompTIA, or other recognized infrastructure/security certifications are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Administer, configure, monitor, patch, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database environments across development, test, and production systems.
• Install and configure SQL Server instances, databases, SQL Server Agent jobs, linked servers, maintenance plans, and related services.
• Monitor availability, capacity, performance, blocking, deadlocks, waits, storage, and health; proactively resolve issues.
• Perform SQL performance tuning, including query analysis and indexing strategy.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
• Support high-availability and disaster-recovery technologies such as Always On, failover clustering, log shipping, and replication.
• Manage security, roles, permissions, encryption, auditing, and access controls per least-privilege and standards.
• Apply security updates, upgrades using change-management processes.
• Create, review, and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and maintenance routines.
• Collaborate with developers to review designs, queries, and deployment scripts for performance and security.
• Support deployments through CI/CD and DevOps processes; participate in releases and monitoring.
• Automate DBA tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, and SQL Server Agent.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Monitor capacity, retention, and data lifecycle; manage data movement using SSIS/ETL.
