Job summary

Financial Statement Services, Inc (FSSI) invites you to join our remote SQL Database Administrator team. The role focuses on SQL Server administration, security, backup/recovery, and high availability for environments spanning development to production.

You’ll work with IT, development, and DevOps to optimize performance and reliability. We seek a hands-on DBA with 2–4 years of SQL Server experience, DP-300 or equivalent cloud certs preferred, and strong T‑SQL/PowerShell skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IT/DB Admin or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.
• DP-300 or equivalent Azure data-platform cert preferred; additional cloud certs valued.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, security, backup/recovery, and perf tuning.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SQL Server environments across dev/test/production.
• Monitor availability, performance, blocking, deadlocks, and capacity.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and HA/DR strategies.
• Collaborate with developers and IT teams for performance and security.
• Automate DBA tasks using PowerShell and T-SQL; support CI/CD deployments.
• Document runbooks, procedures, and operational standards.
