Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Medical Physicist for a remote, home-based role to advance imaging safety and quality across a large health system.

You will lead CT and MRI protocol development, oversee radiation safety programs, and collaborate with leadership to guide equipment purchases and technology adoption. The ideal candidate holds a MS (PhD preferred) in physics-related field and state licensure, with ABR board certification.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, or Medical Physics required.
• PhD preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
• ABR or equivalent medical physics board certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray Registration (COR) and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies and procedures to ensure safe practice.
• Oversees Equipment Performance Evaluations for imaging systems (CT, MRI, etc.).
• Performs dosimetry and shielding calculations to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates acceptance testing and recommendations for shielding and system performance.
