Jet HomeLoans, LP, a national mortgage lender, seeks an Underwriter to handle underwriting of complex loan applications and manage an assigned pipeline. You will oversee Government and Conventional (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) loans, ensuring salability and compliance with investor guidelines.

Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of investor programs, adhere to TRID/TILA/HMDA laws, and collaborate with sales, processing, and compliance teams to resolve issues and meet KPI metrics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of new mortgage underwriting experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC guidelines.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state laws (TRID, TILA, ECOA and HMDA).
• Able to navigate loan origination software
• Able to read and interpret loan documents.
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and provide information to resolve the situation.
• Basic computer skills: word processing, email, mortgage software.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite complex loan applications and manage an assigned loan pipeline.
• Underwrite Government and Conventional (Fannie/Freddie) loans to ensure salability.
• Stay updated with investor and insurer guidelines and programs.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, secondary, and compliance teams.
• Research and respond to QA/QC reviews in a timely manner.
• Report material process or policy gaps to underwriting leadership.
