Strong communication and precise analysis are essential for timely closings. Required 2+ years of underwriting experience, VA SAR designation, and proficiency with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and Encompass.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines.
• Familiar with TRID, TILA, ECOA and HMDA.
• Ability to read loan documents and compute income.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex loan applications.
• Ensure loans are salable and within guidelines.
• Maintain loan pipeline and close loans timely.
• Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing and compliance teams.
