Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned metro area. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and submit for approval while ensuring timely document collection from appropriate sources.

The role involves extensive outside sales activity and requires spending at least half the time away from branch locations, including 2+ hours of driving weekly. Candidates should have at least two years of mortgage, sales, or real estate experience

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z with a clean record.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Two+ years in Mortgage, Sales or Real Estate.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Secure required processing/underwriting/closing documents promptly.
• Spend at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations for sales.
• Drive 2+ hours per week.
