Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a mortgage loan originator to originate loans in a metropolitan territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and ensure timely document collection for processing and closing.

Role involves significant off-site customer engagement and required driving. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in mortgage/sales/real estate, NMLS registration, and strong communication and sales skills.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration required under SAFE Act and Reg Z.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in assigned metro area.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Ensure required documents are secured for processing and closing.
• Spend at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations for sales activities.
