Job summary

National Mortgage Staffing seeks an experienced Mortgage Development Officer / Mortgage Loan Officer to grow mortgage production in the Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK markets. This relationship-driven origination role rewards self-generation and active member and Realtor networking.

The position offers a base salary of $40,000–$50,000 plus commission of 30–45 basis points, uncapped, with flexible scheduling and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS registration required.
• 5–7 recent years of Mortgage Loan Officer experience.
• Based in Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK.
• Proven ability to self-generate mortgage business.
• Strong Realtor, community, corporate and referral relationships.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending products, policies and practices.
• Experience taking applications and recommending mortgage products.
• Strong communication, organization and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Recommend mortgage loan products and take applications.
• Respond to member mortgage inquiries.
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, community leaders, corporate contacts, relocation professionals, and members.
• Proactively generate new mortgage business.
• Build repeat and referral business.
• Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline management.
• Work with internal teams to ensure originated loans move effectively through closing.
• Maintain active NMLS registration.
• Complete required compliance training.
• Use CRM, MMI, HomeBot, social media, and digital tools to support business development.
