Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation seeks a capable Client Connect Loan Officer in Madison, WI to market and originate mortgage loans and guide clients through the loan process from application to closing.

You will build relationships with real estate agents and builders, collaborate with processors and underwriters, and stay compliant with lending guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license required upon hire.
• 1+ year mortgage loan origination experience.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of building trust with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, regulations, and investor guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans, including taking applications, negotiating terms, and verifying consumer information.
• Analyze financial data to pair consumers with appropriate mortgage products.
• Consistently meet or exceed loan production goals set by the Branch Manager.
• Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and other teams to ensure smooth loan file progression.
• Maintain knowledge of Fairway’s products, policies, guidelines, and applicable lending regulations (including the SAFE Act).
• Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to drive loan productivity and quality.
• Build and maintain a robust referral network of real estate agents, builders, and community professionals.
• Provide timely, exceptional service when responding to consumer and partner inquiries.
