Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Technical/Business Analyst/Engineer for a remote contract-to-hire role. The position focuses on data analytics, SQL development, and integration work within the Commercial Mortgage Data Warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will have advanced SQL skills, experience with Python for automation, and strong communication in an Agile setting. This role offers W2 hourly pay and remote work flexibility in the United States.

Qualifications

• Ability to transform data into information for analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills, including Alteryx for data anomaly detection.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting is a plus.
• Experience with APIs or system integrations (REST, JSON) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements.
• Own development of business and technical requirements for data warehouse enhancements.
• Transform business requirements into SQL statements.
• Analyze data to triage issues within the data model.
• Collaborate with data architects, sponsors, admins, and report writers in Agile.
• Analyze source system data to improve data quality.
• Identify data issues and potential solutions with business.
• Improve data quality through automation of rules.
• Review application functionality and perform gap analysis for enhancements.
• Develop test plans and run test scripts for changes.
• Evaluate feasibility of business requests and research options.
• Respond to questions from business and IT teams.
• Track solutions and communicate impacts on mortgage data model.
• Assist with automation and process improvements using scripting.
• Assist with integrations between systems (APIs/files).
• Investigate and resolve data feed issues for PLM platform.
• Respond to escalated user issues.
• Support core mortgage servicing and accounting platform.
