Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to promote AI governance, maintain model inventories, assess risks, and support validation efforts within a remote, national US footprint. The role focuses on governance frameworks, KPIs, and collaboration with risk, audit, and enterprise teams to close compliance gaps and strengthen AI programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information management, data science or related field.
• 4+ years in AI model governance or Model Risk Management.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and auditing principles.
• Ability to communicate complex AI topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience deploying AI governance programs at scale in a large enterprise.
• Understanding of AI ethics, regulatory considerations and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance practices across the enterprise.
• Maintain an inventory of models with ownership and required metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements and business impact.
• Implement and maintain MRMF, processes, controls, policies and standards.
• Monitor model performance and compliance with policies and standards.
• Support model validation and testing activities and document findings.
• Participate in AI governance oversight activities including audits and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance, model risk and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams, auditors and external partners to address risks and maintain governance docs.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
