Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Lead MMIS Data Architect to design and govern data architectures for large-scale Medicaid MMIS implementations and modernizations. You will partner with state clients, architects, analysts, and developers to ensure data is structured, integrated, and optimized across MMIS and MES environments.

In this role, you will drive data transformation strategies, leverage AI-assisted automation, and ensure governance, audit readiness, and performance.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in data architecture or large-scale data platform design.
• 3+ years applying AI-assisted automation to accelerate data workflows.
• Foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern data architectures for large-scale Medicaid MMIS system implementations.
• Partner with conversion teams, architects, analysts, and developers to align data design with target state architecture.
• Define integration patterns and data flows between MMIS modules and external systems.
• Establish data architecture artifacts including mappings, canonical models, and governance standards.
