Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an Application Architect to lead the architecture strategy for a Medicaid account, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence across applications, cloud, data, and security.

The role provides enterprise-wide leadership, partnering with state Medicaid agencies and internal stakeholders to guide modernization, API strategies, data exchange, and secure-by-design practices.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in enterprise/solutions/technology architecture with leadership of large initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technology architecture strategy, roadmap, and modernization for a Medicaid account.
• Lead architecture governance, establish standards, and oversee application, integration, cloud, infrastructure, and security architectures.
• Serve as senior technical advisor to state Medicaid agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Guide application modernization, cloud adoption, API and integration strategies, ensuring scalable, secure, and enterprise-aligned solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid, HIPAA, CMS, NIST, IRS 1075, and other requirements with secure-by-design practices.
• Drive interoperability and data-exchange strategies, including APIs, ETL, and data architectures.
• Lead risk, technical debt, and solution oversight across the SDLC.
