Job summary

Intermountain Health invites applications for a hands-on Machine Learning Operations Manager to lead deployment and monitoring of enterprise ML products. You will mentor a team of ML ops engineers and data engineers, aligning with business leaders to drive a strategic MLOps roadmap that reduces costs and improves member health.

The role emphasizes responsible AI, scalable ML deployments, and collaboration across AI, data, software, and cloud teams. Remote work is supported with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Delivered and implemented successful machine learning operations infrastructure and solutions.
• CI/CD experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• IaC tools such as Terraform and Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Strong leadership to motivate and guide high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of ML methodologies, algorithms, and frameworks including agentic systems.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, etc.
• Experience with Spark, TensorFlow, MLFlow, LangChain, etc.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for strategic direction of MLOps tech stack.
• Manage AI/ML, data, software, cybersecurity, cloud ops teams and align with leaders.
• Ensure Responsible AI monitoring for internal and 3rd party ML solutions.
• Execute on AI/ML strategic vision and roadmap.
• Coordinate ML operations and data engineering product development.
• Build and train ML engineering teams and foster culture.
• Mentor ML operations leads on project execution.
• Manage portfolio delivery to meet clinical, business, and technical needs.
• Integrate ML solutions into key enterprise processes with governance and explainability.
• Stay current with industry trends to enhance capabilities.
• Support innovation through research in ML methodologies.
• Recruit, train, and coach ML operations personnel.
