Job summary

Canyon State Electric in Arizona seeks an experienced Mission Critical Estimator to price data center and critical facility work. This role can be fully remote from anywhere in the U.S., or hybrid from the Phoenix area. Expect periodic travel for bid strategy sessions, interviews, and turnovers.

The estimator owns pursuits end-to-end, pricing long-lead equipment, and defending numbers in client reviews. Bachelor-level degree plus correlated credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of electrical estimating experience, including data center or mission-critical work.
• Proven ownership of large estimates from concept to award with final numbers.
• Experience across industrial/commercial sectors is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, standby power, UPS, and related codes.
• Proficiency with estimating software and BIM-derived information.
• Ability to work independently and meet bid dates across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed estimates for mission-critical projects from concept to final bid.
• Price large industrial and data center scopes and defend labor units and productivity factors.
• Perform digital takeoffs for medium- and low-voltage systems and equipment.
• Develop bid strategy, price quotations, and risk visibility for clients.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams across time zones.
• Maintain historical cost data and improve estimating templates and standards.
