Job summary

Canyon State Electric is seeking a Mission Critical Estimator to price data center and critical facility work. The position can be fully remote from anywhere in the U.S.

or hybrid from our Phoenix office, with periodic travel to project sites for bid strategy sessions and turnovers. Reporting to the Director of Estimating, you will own pursuits end-to-end: conceptual budgets, design-assist pricing, and hard bids for high-density power distribution scopes, focusing on switchgear, standby power,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating, incl. 2+ years in mission-critical or data center work.
• Own large estimates from concept to award with final numbers.
• Experience across multiple commercial/industrial sectors; data centers preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110 and power distribution.
• Proficient with ConEst, Accubid, McCormick; Bluebeam and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed electrical estimates for mission-critical projects from budget to bid.
• Price large projects across industrial, cold storage, healthcare, aviation.
• Perform digital takeoffs for distribution, switchgear, UPS, busway, and more.
• Develop labor units, productivity factors, and crew assumptions.
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing and present bid strategy.
• Mentor developing estimators and share process improvements.
