Job summary

Appsierra Group is seeking an experienced Defense & Cleared Workforce Recruiter to build pipelines of security-cleared talent for U.S. government work. You will manage full-cycle recruiting across federal, military, veteran, and defense sectors.

You will source, evaluate, and place cleared professionals, coordinating with FSOs and security offices to verify clearance and eligibility, while translating military backgrounds into strong role fit.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in cleared/defense or government-contracting talent acquisition.
• Proven success placing security-cleared candidates and sourcing within cleared talent pools.
• Strong understanding of U.S. security clearances (Secret, TS, TS/SCI) and polygraph requirements.
• Ability to interpret military/veteran backgrounds (MOS/rate) and engage transitioning service members.
• Familiarity with clearance verification workflows and FSOs.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for cleared roles from sourcing to offer.
• Build and maintain pipelines of security-cleared talent across federal, military, veteran, and government-contracting spaces.
• Use specialized channels like ClearanceJobs and military networks (SkillBridge, TAP, Hiring Our Heroes).
• Screen candidates for clearance level, status, and eligibility per federal guidelines.
• Coordinate clearance verification with FSOs and customer security offices.
• Translate military experience into role fit and liaise with hiring managers to define requirements.
• Maintain pipelines for location-specific and hard-to-fill cleared roles.
