Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Information Protection Engineer to secure enterprise data using Microsoft Purview DLP, sensitivity labels, and CUI compliance. The role supports advanced DLP controls, policy testing, and governance for AI-enabled environments across large-scale Microsoft 365 deployments.

The ideal candidate has roughly five years of hands-on experience with MIP, DLP, and related Microsoft 365 security solutions, and will work in a fully remote setup to support federal and agency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field with 9+ years of experience.
• Approximately 5 years implementing and supporting Microsoft Information Protection technologies.
• Experience with DLP, Purview, sensitivity labels, and M365 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Purview DLP policies across Microsoft 365 services.
• Develop and tune DLP controls to protect sensitive data from disclosure, sharing, or exfiltration.
• Analyze Copilot security implications and advise on DLP policy enhancements.
• Support deployment of DLP controls for new apps and platforms.
• Perform policy testing, validation, and user acceptance before production.
