Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced MIP Engineer to support enterprise data protection initiatives focusing on DLP, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, CUI compliance, and emerging AI security technologies such as Copilot. The role will design, implement, maintain, and enhance information protection controls enabling secure collaboration and productivity.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in information protection or cybersecurity.
• Experience administering MIP, DLP, sensitivity labels, and 365 compliance.
• Experience with CUI classification and policy development.
• Experience supporting security audits and regulatory assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Purview DLP policies across Microsoft 365 services.
• Develop and tune DLP controls to protect sensitive organizational data.
• Evaluate Copilot security capabilities and governance.
• Support compliance assessments and remediation efforts.
• Create and maintain compliance evidence, system documentation, and security artifacts.
• Collaborate with auditors, compliance personnel, and system owners.
