Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced MIP Engineer to design, implement, and maintain information protection controls that safeguard sensitive agency data while enabling secure collaboration and productivity. You will lead DLP policies, sensitivity labeling, and data classification across Microsoft 365 in a fully remote role based in the United States.

The ideal candidate has about five years of experience with Microsoft information protection technologies and a strong track record in policy

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Information Protection technologies.
• Experience administering Microsoft Purview DLP and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).
• Experience with sensitivity labels, data classification, and compliance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Purview DLP policies across Microsoft 365 services.
• Develop and tune DLP controls to protect sensitive organizational data.
• Analyze emerging technologies like Microsoft Copilot for impacts on DLP controls and enhancement needs.
• Support DLP controls for new business apps and platforms.
• Perform policy testing, validation, and user acceptance before production.
