Placements24 is seeking a Mine Surveyor for an advanced underground mining project. You will establish and maintain control networks, perform precise surveys for development and production faces, and ensure adherence to design plans.

You’ll use total stations, laser scanners, GPS/GNSS where applicable, and CAD/mining software (Surpac, Deswik, AutoCAD) to generate mine plans, cross-sections, and volumes, collaborating with planning engineers and geologists.

Qualifications

• Requires a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Mine Surveying/Geomatics.
• Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency or eligibility.
• 5+ years of underground mine surveying experience.

Responsabilités

• Conduct underground surveys for development, boundaries, and production faces per plans.
• Establish and maintain primary and secondary control networks inside the mine.
• Operate surveying instruments including total stations, laser scanners, GPS/GNSS, and digital levels.
• Process data with AutoCAD, Surpac, and Deswik to produce mine plans, cross-sections, and volumes.
• Collaborate with planning engineers, geologists, and operations to provide accurate spatial data.
• Monitor conformance of excavations to design specs and calibrate equipment regularly.
• Assist in developing survey procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate survey records and databases; integrate data for mine modeling.
