Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Middleware Engineer to support and modernize enterprise integration platforms for a large financial services client. You will design, deploy, and optimize middleware solutions, with a focus on automation, reliability, and scalable architectures.

You'll work with MuleSoft, Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating across development, architecture, and offshore teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise middleware platforms.
• Hands-on MuleSoft experience is required.
• Kubernetes and containerized environments experience.
• Confluent Kafka and Kafka Connectors experience.
• Apache Tomcat administration knowledge.
• Automation/configuration management tooling (Ansible, etc.).
• OIDC/OAuth authentication/authorization knowledge.
• CI/CD pipeline construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain middleware and integration platforms.
• Partner with development and architecture teams to define integration strategies.
• Analyze, test, document, and optimize middleware environments.
• Automate middleware deployment and configuration using CI/CD and IaC.
• Monitor performance, usage, and health of middleware environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues impacting application performance.
• Plan upgrades, migrations, and consolidations for platforms.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for operational support.
• Perform ongoing administration and on-call rotations.
