Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a Middleware Engineer to design, automate, and support enterprise middleware platforms in a modern hybrid environment. You will work across application, infrastructure, and cloud technologies to improve platform reliability and modernization.

Responsibilities include supporting middleware across VMs, containers, and bare metal, building automation with Ansible, and provisioning infrastructure with Terraform in AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise middleware platforms in hybrid environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Automation and integration of middleware with applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Support and engineer middleware platforms across VMs, bare metal, and containers.
• Design, build, and troubleshoot middleware solutions connecting apps, services, databases and cloud.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and pilots to drive middleware modernization.
• Automate installation, configuration, patching, deployment, and ops tasks with Ansible.
• Use Terraform to provision and automate infrastructure in AWS environments.
• Work with APIs and service integration frameworks for reliable connectivity.
• Investigate issues across middleware, networking, infra, and app layers.
• Partner with architects and platform engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Support middleware deployments on AWS EC2 and other environments.
• Contribute to monitoring, logging, and operational support for middleware.
