Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Middle School Intervention Specialist (Grades 6-8) for the Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA).

This is a full-time remote role supporting K-12 students with diverse needs, requiring Ohio licensure eligibility and strong collaboration with general education staff. Responsibilities include adapting the K12 curriculum, maintaining IEPs, coordinating meetings, and communicating effectively with parents.

Qualifications

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
• Bachelor's degree and equivalent education/experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web tools.

Responsibilities

• Modify/adapt the K12 curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students identified with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet the goals of the student.
• Educate parents on various instructional strategies.
• Prepare appropriate documentation.
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings.
• Proctor achievement and other required testing to students including alternative assessments.
• Collaborate with related services team to ensure IEP goals are developed and monitored.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
