Job summary

WAHVE is seeking seasoned Commercial Lines underwriters to work from home in a versatile, long-term remote role. Candidates should bring extensive insurance experience and be able to handle risk assessment, pricing, and relationship management for carrier, MGA, or wholesale broker clients in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience required.
• 10 most recent years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience.
• Experience with multiple P&C sectors (GL, E&O, Property, WC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate risk selection and proper insured classification.
• Make underwriting decisions on coverage, pricing, and acceptability.
• Manage a portfolio of new and renewal business with focus on book management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Maintain accurate file documentation per company guidelines.
• Aim for underwriting profit within assigned book of business.
