Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Microsoft Purview SME (Records Management) to design, implement, and optimize electronic records management using Purview across Microsoft 365 environments.

You will ensure compliance with federal records laws, lifecycle management of records, and best practices for retention and information protection. The role requires deep Purview/M365 expertise, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or experience in lieu of degree, and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD with hands-on experience configuring records management, compliance, and security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of federal records management regulations (NARA, 44 USC, 36 CFR) and retention practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and configure Purview Records Management solutions including retention labels, file plans, and adaptive scopes across SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Ensure records management processes comply with federal laws and support audits and reporting requirements.
• Oversee lifecycle management, retention schedules, and disposition of records across multi-cloud platforms.
