Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a security-focused, Microsoft-centric engineer to deliver hands-on engagements for clients of various sizes. You will own delivery on Entra ID, Purview, Intune, and Defender XDR, work with architects, and contribute to internal practice growth.

You will manage engagements with an 80% billable target, using strong communication and problem-solving to drive security maturity across hybrid and cloud environments. Remote-first with occasional travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2–5 years in IT or security operations.
• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory.
• Knowledge of SAML, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP; experience with Conditional Access and MFA.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention, eDiscovery; Intune and Defender XDR.
• Basic PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement identity architecture including hybrid identity and governance.
• Integrate applications via SSO, enterprise app registrations, and SCIM provisioning.
• Investigate identity risks using Entra ID logs and hygiene practices.
• Design data protection policies with Purview and support eDiscovery engagements.
• Configure device compliance and Defender XDR across platforms.
