Job summary

GuidePoint Security seeks a security-focused engineer with strongMicrosoft Entra ID and on-prem AD experience to deliver hands-on engagements for clients of varying sizes. You will manage identity and data security, leverage Purview for data protection, and extend support to Intune and Defender XDR.

The role is 100% remote with limited travel. You will own technical delivery within engagements, contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, and collaborate with architects to drive secure cloud and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2-5 years in IT administration, identity management, or security operations.
• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory, including Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and hybrid identity (Entra Connect).
• Knowledge of core authentication protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP.
• Experience implementing Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, or eDiscovery) and supporting Intune and Defender XDR.
• Basic PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Graph PowerShell).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement identity architecture (Entra ID, hybrid sync).
• Integrate applications via SSO (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM provisioning.
• Investigate and remediate identity risks using Entra ID tools and sign-in logs.
• Design and implement data security with Purview (labels, DLP, retention).
• Support eDiscovery, Insider Risk Management, and AI data security readiness.
• Configure Intune and Defender XDR across platforms and environments.
